ABOUT WORLD ON THE MOVE
Join guest artists Anysa Saleh and Jessica Valoris for art making sessions in the Youth Program Room (Floor 2, 204-F), inspired by World on the Move.
The free events invite families to explore themes from the exhibit including where we come from and why we move.
This program is organized by Black Artist Research Space and the Smithsonian Folklife Festival.

Open to families and children with caregivers
Participants are invited to contribute writing, photo, and drawings that help to tell their family's migration story that will be used to create collaborative collages and zines.

Migration is a human experience that connects us all. The traveling exhibit World on the Move: 250,000 Years of Human Migration, on view at the MLK Library during Summer 2022, is a public education initiative that aims to educate audiences across the globe on the different forms of migration and how it has shaped human history.
